La Terra dopo la Terra, 13’ (2017)

Gigio, a 90-year-old peasant, has spent his whole life in Monte San Martino, a remote village in southern Marche, Italy. In recent decades the agricultural exodus has left a desert in the area. Nowadays the only remains are abandoned plots of land and ruins. Gigio and his family decided to stay, however his small farm seems destined to follow suit. The film is an attempt to present the last echoes of a lost world: a bridge between the spiritual values of a pre-industrialised era and those of the restless present.

Il tentativo di staccare l'anima, 8'35'' (2019)

Reflecting upon an old family photo album, Rosa uncovers fragments of a disappearing past. Memories that represent the remains of a lost rural world and its spiritual dimension, pervaded by the sacred beliefs of the oral tradition. This intimate confession runs alongside a polyphonic set of visuals and soundscapes, creating a biographical collage that is at once personal healing and historical memoir. Shot on different formats including Super 8, the film presents also archive material such as analog family movies and photo prints.

Anger, 2’ (2013)

May 2012, Rome. The Mayor Gianni Alemanno attends a vigil to stand in solidarity with families of small business owners and entrepreneurs who died of suicide after the 2008 economic crises. By following the subject with obsessive and surgical camera movements, the film attempts to create an ethnographic documentation on power and contemporary propaganda strategies.
